World of Golf is bringing a slice of the Olympics to Croydon this weekend when it launches its newly developed site.
More than 8,000 lorry-loads of soil, some of it taken from the Olympic site in East London, as well as four acres of top quality turf have been delivered to the range to shape a brand new outfield.
Chief executive Grant Wright said: “After months of hard work, we’re so excited to unveil the superb facility at Croydon that will complement the first-class golf tuition from our PGA professionals that we also deliver.
“Golf is a great game that can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age, fitness or ability and we hope the state-of-the-art facilities at Croydon will encourage as many people as possible trying it out.”
World of Golf is offering visitors 100 balls for £1 for the first few weeks after the official launch.
