Twickenham CC batsman Dan Housego has signed a three-year contract at Gloucestershire after his release from Middlesex.
The 23-year-old right-hander, who made 15 first class appearances and has two first class centuries to his name, was part of the Twickenham team that was relegated from the Middlesex County League Premier Division last year.
The Windsor-born England age group cricketer was a prolific scorer for Middlesex’s second string.
Gloucestershire director of cricket John Bracewell said: “Members will remember that Dan was one of our original academy players.
“Unfortunately, we lost Dan to Middlesex, but he has decided to return to the club having completed a grounded apprenticeship at Lord’s. “Dan has been one of, if not the, best top-order batsmen in second XI cricket and we are delighted that he joins us.”
