London Broncos hooker Julien Rinaldi has set the example team-mates must follow.
Head coach Rob Powell, pictured above, cut a frustrated figure after seeing his side slip to a 38-30 defeat at Widnes after promising displays against Castleford and Wigan.
And the Stoop chief warned his men they must match Rinaldi’s efforts when Wakefield visit on Saturday.
“When Julien came on he added some real tempo and I thought he showed the other players what they should have been doing from the off,” he said.
“I think a few of the players got ahead of themselves.
“There was an assumption we would play well again, but it does not work like that.
We just expected things to happen.
“Every game is a challenge you have to be up for and that is a lesson we have to learn. We have to start better. We cannot go into games having to score 30 or 40 points to win.”
The Broncos will host Dewsbury Rams in the Challenge Cup on April 15.
