Twickenham will need to raise their game at Chingford this Saturday if they are to gain their first win of the season.

Their forwards were out-muscled last Saturday when they lost 20-14 at home to Letchworth.

A penalty by Phil Astbury put Twickenham ahead, but lax defending then presented Letchworth with two tries, both of which were converted, to put the visitors 14-6 ahead at the interval, Astbury having added a second penalty.

Letchworth started the second-half with a penalty before Twickenham winger Leon John took full advantage of a wide pass to score in the corner.

But Ts then conceded a penalty for being off-side in front of the posts, allowing Letchworth to stretch the difference to nine points.

Due to injury the scrums then became non-contested, but Twickenham could not use this to their advantage and only added a consolation penalty.
