A super-confident David Haye reckons his big fight showdown with Dereck Chisora this Saturday at West Ham United FC’s Boleyn Ground will be an easy outing, writes Ziad Chaudry.

The 31-year-old former WBA world heavyweight champion from Clapham will come out of retirement to take his on-going feud with his bitter domestic rival to the ring.

This is an opportunity for the pair to settle their differences in front of an expected 30,000 crowd plus a BoxNation television audience following their much-publicised press conference brawl in Munich, Germany, back in February.

The scenes took place hours after Chisora’s unsuccessful world title challenge against WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.

The Hayemaker has not fought since losing his WBA mantle to Vitali’s brother Wladimir (who incidentally retained his world titles last Saturday following an one-sided sixth-round stoppage against Tony Thompson in Zurich, Switzerland) last summer in Hamburg, Germany, but is ready to beat his Hackney-based opponent.

“I will win by a knockout definitely and I am looking forward to entertaining people,” said Haye.

“Nine times out of 10 my strategies work and I have got one for this.

“I am back because all I want to do is get in there and knock out Chisora.

“He is brave, he does have heart, but he will be there for me to KO because he is stupid. Just look at the way he fights.

“I know that he is stupid but surely he is not stupid enough to think that he can walk through my punches. “If he is that stupid then this will be an easy night for me.”
