Weybridge Vandals head coach Nick Ridley says his team must win their five remaining games if they are to secure the play-off berth in London Division Three South West.
After last weekend’s international break, Vandals – in second place – return to action on Saturday with a trip to fourth-placed Ellingham & Ringwood.
Ridley’s men face leaders Winchester in the penultimate game of the season, but he believes the title will be won by then.
However, he also believes the scrap for the runners up play-off spot between Vandals, Ellingham and Purley John Fisher will be much closer.
“Purley may be five points behind us, but they have a game in hand and they have a much easier run-in, having already played the top three sides,” Ridley said.
“So it is imperative we win all five of our remaining games.
“We are more than capable of doing that and we’re expecting to be at full strength this weekend with some players coming back from injury.
“Winchester have been strong all season and I cannot see them giving up the title, so it is all down to who wants that second place the most.”
