London Welsh head coach Justin Burnell is hoping to kiss and make up with the clubs fans when Gloucester visit the Kassam stadium tonight.
Burnell’s side were thrashed 52-0 by Exeter Chiefs on their first appearance on home soil this season and have since gone on to concede more than 150 points in their opening three Premiership encounters.
Welsh were again on the wrong side of a harsh lesson in defence as they were crushed 46-8 at Sale Sharks last week.
But Burnell wants better this time around to help disheartened supporters to keep the faith.
“The first few games have been really tough for us – we’ve got some obvious errors to rectify,” he said.
“But we’re looking forward to being back at the Kassam and getting our loyal band of supporters right behind us.
“We’re back at home and that’s important.
“As a group, the coaches, management and players all felt our performance in our first home game of the season against Exeter was unacceptable – we let a lot of people down. We’ll be looking to address that tonight.”
