Director of rugby Mike Schmid says Esher must break their away day hoodoo to keep touch with National Division One title favourites Ealing Trailfinders
The Molesey Road men head to Tynedale on Saturday on the back of a five-try 32-19 home triumph over Darlington Mowden Park, that featured a Spencer Sutherland brace and further scores from Paul Olima, Andy Wright and Ollie Richards.
Esher are yet to win on the road this season and Schmid insisted that must change if his side are to stay in the promotion hunt.
“We should have been there for the result in our last two away games, but were not,” he said.
“We are changing things this week so we travel on the Friday night to make sure we have the right attitude and focus, because if you do not have that you do not win on the road.
He added: “Ealing have been pushed close already this season and still have to play us, Rosslyn Park and Coventry.
“They are a full-time side in a part-time league and that makes a big difference.
“They are creeping away, but there is a long way to go. We have just got to keep them in reach to make the last couple of months of the season interesting.”
