London Welsh head coach Rowland Phillips hopes his side do not come to regret Sunday’s 36-22 defeat to Bristol at Old Deer Park.
The exiles lost 4-3 on try count and Phillips admitted it was an afternoon of missed opportunities.
“We had enough opportunities to win that game,” he said.
“We opened them up a few times, we just didn’t finish things off.
“It was a huge game and if you don’t get into the play-offs most teams will reflect back on missed opportunities throughout the season.”
London Welsh coach Ollie Smith and team manager Sonny Parker will go head-to-head when England Legends take on Wales Legends at the Stoop on September 24 in aid of RFU Injured Players Foundation.
Welsh go to Moseley tomorrow.
