Rosslyn Park coach James Buckland is convinced they can go to league leaders Esher on Saturday and get a result, just as long as they do one thing.
The coach was critical of his side only playing in patches during last weekend’s 26-15 win over Wharfedale at the Rock.
And up against the National League One high-fliers, Buckland knows exactly what is needed – especially after Esher’s demolition of Coventry last weekend.
He said: “For Esher to put 46 points on Coventry is a superb effort – they’ve obviously flying at the minute.
“We’re looking forward to it, but we know that we’re going to have to front up.
“We’ve put in the time on the training pitch this week and prepared as best we can, and it’s in our hands to go there and build on everything we’ve done so far this season.
Rosslyn Park's youngsters turn it on, but coach wants more
“Overall, last weekend was a case of ‘job done’, but credit must go to Wharfedale for taking it to us.
“We’ve got the result we wanted, and we can now focus on getting that consistency over the entirety of a game as we look forward to heading to Esher tomorrow.”
He added: “If we can put in an 80-minute performance, we’ll give ourselves a great chance of getting the right result.”
Kick-off at Molesey Road on Saturday is at 3pm.
