Sutton & Epsom RFC's ladies skipper Sophie Small could not be more proud after her charges claimed the Women's NC London & SE South Division Two title.
Small and co have lost just once all season, and Sunday's 58-26 win over second-place Portsmouth Valkryies at Rugby Lane was enough to confirm promotion.
"It felt amazing to finish the season the way we did," Small said.
"We played some of our best rugby against Portsmouth and they put out the toughest side we’ve faced all season, but everyone stepped up and the score speaks for itself.
"The whole team are elated, as they deserve to be, it’s an incredibly proud moment for all of us and I’m proud to be a part of it."
The ladies face Hammersmith & Fulham at Rugby Lane on Sunday in the semi-final of the Griffin Cup.
