Esher have made former Saracens and England Sevens man Sam Stanley their first signing since their management shake-up.
Former Harlequins pair Ricky Nebbett and Tom Williams were confirmed as the club’s new director of rugby and player/head coach respectively last week following the departure of club legend Mike Schmid earlier this summer.
Centre Tom Cheeseman completes the coaching line-up and 23-year-old fly half Stanley, who spent time with Championship club Ealing Trailfinders last term, is keen to start.
Back leader: Esher centre Tom Cheeseman
“I’m grateful to be given the opportunity to play some rugby at Esher,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to taking the field and hopefully getting some regular game time,” he said.
“It’s my first time as a semi-professional so the rugby/work balance is a challenge I’m relishing.”
