Roehampton-born Daniel Cipriani was disappointed that his England debut ended in defeat by Wales on Saturday.
Cipriani made his England debut at outside centre after Mike Tindall was stretchered off, but could do little to stem the tide as Wales ran out 26-19 winners.
"I'm as disappointed as the rest of the lads because we didn't get the result we wanted," said the 20 year old.
"At half-time we were up and looking to keep control of the game.
"Obviously it was unfortunate with injuries but it's quite difficult to take when you lose any game.
"I was happy to come on, that was part of my goal.
"But I wasn't really thinking about that. It was another game to me and I had to help make sure that we got the right result.
"Wales did come back and they were relentless. It's something to what Wasps were like with Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards there.
"Making so many changes is going to be a factor with our second rows having to play in the back row.
"In the end we still had control of the game and we should still have finished Wales off.
"It's an introduction to international rugby. I enjoyed it even though we did lose.
"It has given me a bit of a taster now and I'm very hungry and I'm going to do what I can training-wise this week to make sure I make the 22 for next week."
