Sutton & Epsom scrum-half Stephen Munford sparked a second-half Surrey Cup comeback on the day former Rugby Lane lad Paul Hodgson came close to an England debut.
The 19-year-old number nine set up full-back Lee Stack moments after the break to inspire a 46-15 triumph, while 25-year-old Hodgson was warming the bench during his country's 24-13 Six Nations triumph over the French.
Sutton had trailed 15-12 at half-time to London Three South West side Cobham before coach Martin Knights rang the changes at the break.
Stack's try sparked a revival as Sutton, who host high-flying London One rivals Shelford on Saturday, looked to be heading for a shock defeat.
The introduction of props Val Chirita and Gary Nash saw Harlequins academy youngster Mickey Pointing switch from the front row to the flank.
And the move paid dividends, as centre Joe Goatley added two more touchdowns to his first-half score to help seal an eight-try rout.
Meanwhile, Ewell-based London Irish number nine Hodgson - a graduate of Sutton's junior rugby ranks - was an unused replacement as Richard Wigglesworth marked his England debut with a try in Paris.
