London Welsh have confirmed the details of its players movements for the forthcoming 2009-10 season.

As the Dragons prepare for the Championship and British & Irish Cup, there will be no shortage of Guinness Premiership experience at the club with Joe Horn-Smith and Mike Hills arriving from Sale Sharks, and ex-Wasps hooker Ben Gotting and Dominic Shabbo from London Irish.

Other additions see Wales’ World Cup winning Sevens captain Lee Beach join from Neath, while Michael Holford and Robert Bell arrive from Wasps and Leicester Tigers respectively having both appeared on loan for Welsh last season.

“I am extremely happy with the make up of our squad,” said London Welsh head coach Danny Wilson. “A mixture of experience and talented youth has already improved the quality and commitment of the training environment, which in turn will hopefully increase the standard of rugby on the pitch.

”The new signings have settled into the club well and are training extremely hard. Hopefully we can improve on the achievements of last year and begin to consistently challenge the top sides in the league home and away. It’s an exciting season and one we feel we are preparing well for.”
