The RFU announced today that that it's 765 place celebration dinner for Twickenham Stadium's Centenary has sold out, six weeks before the event on November 2.
The dinner to be held in the South Stand Rose Suite includes a five course meal designed by legendary chef Albert Roux OBE, which will be based around food and recipe's from the early 1900's.
Entertainment is being provided by members of BBC 1's 'Strictly Come Dancing' team and players from the past, including the *Centenary Ambassadors and the present Senior EPS squad will be attending on the night.
The 'O2 Player of the Century' will be announced at the dinner along with the 'bmi Try of the Centenary' which guests will vote for on the night, followed by a short auction with proceeds going to the RFU Injured Players Foundation.
RFU Business Operations Director Paul Vaughan said "Demand for the dinner has been fantastic and we have had to set up a reserve list for those wishing to attend if anyone drops out. It will be a one off special occasion and a key event of the Twickenham Stadium Centenary Season commemorations."
Fans wishing to vote for the "O2 Player of the Century" can do so by going to the World Rugby Museum website, rfu.com/museum *The Centenary Ambassadors will be announced at a press conference on October 1.
