Richmond ignited their season with a five-try demolition of norttom-club Bridgwater & Albion just in time for the visit of high-flying local rivals Rosslyn Park.
Centre Joe Brown crossed the whitewash to kick-start the second-half rout in Somerset, which saw them score 38 unanswered-points thanks to a penalty try and further scores from Cousins, club captain Matt Hart and Alistair Simmie.
Hart’s personal haul of 24 points ensured Richmond claimed their first bonus-point win of the campaign having opened their season with defeats to Dings Crusaders and Ealing.
The result lifted director of rugby Geoff Richards’ men to ninth in the table ahead of Saturday’s clash with unbeaten Park, who enjoyed a weekend off last week.
Richmond’s next three games: Sept 26 Rosslyn Park (h), Oct 3 Henley (a), 10 Worthing (h).
