Glyn Technology College students showed the Rugby Football Union’s top brass a demonstration of their quality last weekend.
Bigwigs such as RFU chief executive Francis Baron and management board chairman Martyn Thomas visited the school in Ewell to observe grassroots rugby at first hand.
They were able to glean a better understanding of the rugby grounding that produced the likes of former Glyn head boy Paul Hodgson, now of London Irish and England.
And the class of 2009 proved they are still setting the highest of standards in a 61-0 win over Chichester.
