Twickenham maintained their 100 per cent home record with a 39-20 win over Guildford on Saturday.
Twickenham dominated much of the early possession and continually pressed the try-line.
But too often they found themselves on the receiving end of the referee’s whistle and relieving kicks back into their own 22.
A drop goal saw Guildford take the lead.
Twickenham’s breakthrough came thirty minutes in when – counter-attacking from their own half – they moved the ball wide to the winger who chipped the defence.
The ball went through several hands before number eight Richard Moses went over for the try which was converted by Luke Scarborough.
Early in the second-half, Guildford were awarded a penalty try for a high tackle.
Twickenham responded with a kick through from fly-half Jamie See which was gathered and popped to scrum-half Tom Eastham who ran through the defence to get over the line.
A penalty by Scarborough was followed by a try and a drop-goal for man-of-the-match See.
Centre Andrew Keane then added to the try count and flanker Charlie I’Anson scored another from a kick return on his ten metre line.
Guildford scored two tries in the dying minutes of the game taking the final score to 39-20.
