Paul Hodgson makes his first England start against a familiar opponent in the Investec Challenge international against Argentina on Saturday.
The London Irish scrum half lines up against clubmate Alfredo Lalanne at Twickenham as England set out to improve on last weekend's 18-9 defeat against Australia.
"He's a great mate of mine, we room together on away trips and he's a very good player," former Sutton & Epsom star Hodgson tells this week's rfu.com podcast.
"The competition for places at London Irish is one of the reasons the club does so well and it is a challenge I'm relishing.
"I'm very excited, honoured to be selected and I can't wait for the game."
Hodgson, a former Epsom College schoolboy, replaces Harlequins' Danny Care, who drops to the bench.
