Richmond’s Emma Layland makes her first England start of the season for this Saturday’s RBS Six Nations clash with Scotland at Meggatland in Edinburgh (1.30pm).
Head coach Gary Street has rung the changes, also bringing Fiona Pocock in for her first start at full-back after missing the 22-5 victory over Ireland because of illness.
England currently top the Six Nations table and Street, who has brought in Katy McLean of Darlington Mowden Park Sharks as captain, is happy to be able to field the nucleus of the side that beat New Zealand last autumn.
“Confidence is higher than I've ever known it,” he said.
“We really believe that we're going in the right direction, not just with the results but with the way we're playing."
Richmond’s Amy Turner and Rebecca Essex are also in the starting line-up, with Rachael Burford and Francesca Matthews among the replacements.
