Nearly 1,000 young rugby players aged seven to 11 battled it out in this year’s National Schools Rugby Tournament at Epsom College, the ninth year that the school has hosted the final.
U8 tag final: Lanesborough 35 Denmead 30. Plate winners: St Faith’s.
U9 final: Shrewsbury House 5 Cumnor House 0. Plate winners: Thomas’s Clapham and Winchester House (shared).
U10 final: St Columba’s School 5 QEGS Wakefield 0. Plate winners: Croft School.
U11 final: QEGS 0 Cranmore 0 (shared). Plate winners: Chesham Prep.
U13 final: Homefield 5 St John’s Beaumont. Plate winners: Cumnor House and Shrewsbury House (shared).
Epsom College headmaster Stephen Borthwick, who presented the trophies, said: “We are delighted once again to be part of this national tournament, which gives young players the opportunity to show their talent in a competitive, but friendly environment.”
