Head coach Earle Wilkes’ men bounced back from last week’s heartbreaking last-minute 19-15 defeat to Weybridge Vandals, thanks to a converted Joe Ash try and three penalties from Luke Scarborough.
They face a difficult trip to second-placed Guernsey this weekend, before hosting Bognor - one place and three points below them in the table - where a win would guarantee survival.
