Whitgift School's director of rugby Chris Wilkins has challenged his young stars to end their season on a high with victory in the Daily Mail RBS Schools U18 Cup Final next Wednesday.
The school face RGS Newcastle in the showpiece final in the RBS Schools Day at Twickenham but Wilkins wants his side, which includes England U18 internationals George Merrick, Elliot Daly and Marland Yarde, to prove they deserve to be there.
"This is our final game and we really want to play well at Twickenham," he said.
"There's no point getting there and not playing well so we need to prepare all week as much as we can and do everything we can.
"It is a good achievement to be in the final for the first time but we haven't won anything yet.
"Getting to Twickenham is not what we see as success, we want to perform well there.
"Newcastle are a very tough side and we all know it is going to be a tough game."
The school's trio of England stars have been hitting the headlines all season but Wilkins believes the whole team deserves praise.
"Those three will have as big a part to play as anyone else," he said.
"We have a lot of people in the squad who have made just as big a contribution as them.
"The team ethos has been very good and that's one of the reasons we have done pretty well this season."
