Staines will clinch promotion to rugby union’s national leagues if they can beat Stevenage in their final London One North Games of the season on Saturday, April 10.
They certainly looked the part on Saturday as they demolished fourth-placed Chingford 85-0 with an exhilarating display of rugby.
James Cornish, Mick Wilmott and Pete Smith scored two tries each, with Giles Walker, Liam Shanahan, Chris Wells, David Knills, Junior Harrison and Josh Heke also going over.
Wells converted 11 of the tries and also kicked a penalty.
