Jan Bonney's ties with England Counties should help him attract players to Rosslyn Park, or so he hopes.
Park's new head coach, who took over from Florent Rossigneux last month, is also the head coach for England Counties, a team which takes its players from The Championship and National Leagues One and Two.
It means Bonney, who left his job at head of Premiership champions Saracens' academy to move to Park, has a good knowledge of the players his team will be facing in National One and is hopeful some might decide to come and join him.
"I hope it will help attract people," said the 40-year-old.
"If guys are coming to London then they have a contact here, but I guess it will depend on whether they like my coaching.
"I have got to know who the best players are in the league at the moment and build some relationships, but this league is always evolving, it is an incredibly competitive league.
"There's no guarantee of teams going up or going down."
Park are five weeks into their three-day-a-week pre-season training but do not play a game until the face Henley in a friendly on August 6.
Last season, they finished seventh after a poor run of results towards the end of the campaign, something Bonney wants to improve upon.
"I keep saying to the players and the board members that we want to be competitive all the way past Christmas," he said.
"We don't want to end up at the end of the season not being able to go up or go down, we want to be fighting all the way to the end.
"I have been wanting to do a lot more coaching and head up a coaching team and Rosslyn Park is perfect for me.
"I have done lots of academy teams but wanted to do something you can do throughout the whole season from the start to the finish.
"I have settled in well and it has been really good."
