The average mobile phone five years ago consisted of the basic needs needed in a mobile phone. This consisted of the ability to make phone calls; receive phones calls and receive text messages only! Whereas in 2013 the mobile phones are produced for consumers to manage their whole lives around this one device- shopping, flight check-in, emails, applications, banking and the odd text message.
The television concept has also been contradicted within this technology growth. The television a decade ago would just manage to produce a picture of just five channels. However now the TV can show over 800 channels, can surf the internet and can interact with you. In addition the idea of three dimension picture, which was not heard of half a decade ago, has now entered over 60 per cent of television sets. This has enabled the viewing experience to increase in quality and will continue to do so.
In addition the computer has also grown in quality along with the other devices mentioned above. The computer has changed from the size of a room to the size of a book but has grown in capacity. The average computer nowadays can be taken on your travels and can also be transformed instantly into a touch screen tablet.
The tablet is also a recent discovery of wisdom. The tablet enables the use of a computer but in the palm of your hands with vast amounts of applications that aid the human lifestyle. The tablet is a great example of what the world is coming to and how quickly the technological growth is taking place
