Les Miserable, a French revolutionary play has been shown all around the world especially in the US and here in London because of its valuable story of love, war, and especially freedom.

The play turned movie was a great success according to the award show; the Oscars 2013 has been nominated since ‘Chicago’ for Best Picture. However they have won various Oscars such as best supporting actress, best sound mixing and achievement in makeup and hairstyling.

However critics’ describe the film version in their perspectives, what matter is of the actual audiences who love the play and film version with a passion. One student, from Esher College, mentioned that ‘she went to see the film more than three times’ when it was released in the cinemas. Where as the teacher criticized the film saying that ‘wasn’t to dreary and to long.’

The film as mentioned above was yes to an extent dreary of how long it was sitting in the cinema but the passion shown by the actors of how they portray their characters show that they deserve to win awards for there roles.  The film reminds us as well of the history that has happened in France showing how these people once before fought for their freedom once. Ironically until now every country is fighting for their freedom.

Les Miserable shows a variety of genre towards the public but it was an inspiring film to watch on stage as well as the film. Knowing that it is coming out on DVD later this year, everyone can enjoy the film over and over again and re-live the memory of Les Miserable.
