How prepped are you?
Having spent a week in a major law firm in Chancery Lane as part of my work experience, I have been thinking...how far does living in Croydon prepare you for life in the city?
It absolutely doesn’t, my first day through Victoria Station taught me that, oh so well! Bump, bang, boom. Speed. Not Croydon pace but speedy, as real Croydoner I was rendered disoriented spinning at the end of the escalator. Where am I, what is this rush...ahhh rush hour - hell. The city is blunt, fast and unapologetic! By day 3 I had grasped this; I too was now exerting a bump and push on others. Dominance. The city is all about dominance, hierarchy; we ride one bus but are seated on different tiers. The city. No West Croydon or New Addington but Holborn, Chancery Lane, Victoria, Oxford Circus, merciless.
Are you prepped?
