Many secondary schools travelled across London today and will be travelling for both Thursday and Friday to visit the UCAS Convention at London Olympia Centre.
After visiting it proved to be extremely beneficial in order to provide students with lots of useful information regarding finances, universities and careers. The convention catered to a wide range of future plans containing a wide range of universities not only within the Untied Kingdom but stretching to places such as America.
Not only educational options were available, as more vocational options such as army careers as well as the alternative options of worldwide gap years were advertised. Different careers provided a consideration for students amidst the rise of university fees deterring some pupils from attending higher education.
The option of a gap year exploring countries from Malaysia and America to Europe and Australia including opportunities of volunteering work which would be extraordinarily beneficial and an experience of a lifetime.
Many prospectuses were given and information provided by the people at the convention which was very helpful and provided the pupils with greater knowledge of their opportunities for the future.
The people at different stands were useful in explaining any queries of varied subjects and future plans as well as catering to a wide variety of options in effective detail.
Also there was a chance to attend seminars of varied subjects and courses to allow people to get a taste of what is involved in the modules and these were shown extremely interesting.
Be sure to attend this UCAS Convention which continues until Friday 1st March as it is sure to aid students plans in education and alternative careers.
