On Sunday, the 10th of March the local company, Cobham Pilates, is going to attempt to break the Pilates World Record for LARGEST PILATES CLASS EVER, in aid of Comic Relief! This is a serious record-breaking attempt, and all participants will receive an official Guinness World Record attempt medal for their involvement. The event will be held in the sports centre at ACS Cobham International School, and will be an event no one in Cobham, or Surrey, will want to miss.

Cobham Pilates hope to raise a colossal £50,000 for Comic Relief! This is an amazing goal, and Comic Relief have contacted the team at Cobham Pilates and want to film the day for possible inclusion in the Comic Relief show, on the 15th of March.

Moreover, British singer, model and media personality Louise Redknapp will be at the event in order to present the record attempt to the British media, and support the cause. Therefore, crowds will be drawn in from the sporting world, charitable world, and of course the local and regional media, as this is a huge challenge to undertake.

In order to break the Guinness World Record, they need to beat 863 persons in the Pilates class, however, they are aiming for one thousand, to have a substantial margin. With the current number of registrations the Pilates class will, without a doubt, break the British Record, but it is imperative more people register if they are to beak the Guinness World Record. (Simply go to the Cobham Pilates website for details and registration).

You do not need any previous Pilates experience; you just need to be enthusiastic and generally fit. Comic Relief, combined with Red Nose Day, is a great cause, and this is an exciting way to get involved with the community, and put the Surrey village of Cobham on the map for its Pilates talent.
