Jake Christian. A self claimed Enigma.

“Enigma” meaning “Unique and a mystery”, which speaks for itself. He likes to believe that everyone is judged differently. He regards himself as different from everyone, since unique became an everyday word in his life. This spurred him to adopt the name “Enigma”

Almost everyone dreams, but it takes a winner to wake up and make those dreams become reality that they so strongly desire. “Dreams” are not obstacles to Jake as his “Dream career” is to become a best selling author worldwide which is a huge dream. He would love to direct a self written movie trilogy. Jake’s motivation and reason for these aspirations is to “touch people who feel the same and give them something to believe in and aspire to”. That reason alone shows the nature of this young man who is sending out a message to his audience. He has the added desire to study Media Production at the University of Lincoln, which is in his eyes is more than achievable.

It would seem Jake’s emotions are an evident part of who he is. He started writing at the end of year 9 in secondary school. Jake has continued with his writing, advancing and progressing with each year which has seen him writing for 4 years now. His inspiration for writing was derived by his strong feelings for a girl. Jake took the option to voice his feelings by putting pen to paper. After much writing and venting of feelings, Jake came to the realization that he was gifted with words. This was a momentous part of Jake’s life.

In addition, this gift with words has taken Jake to stardom. Four of his books have been sold on Amazon already, and he has published five poems in five different books with different publishers. Jake appears to be popular with publishers, as he has received offers, but modestly so turning them down. Jake’s writing has been described as a “High standard of quality” amongst the people he knows which shows he is slowly rising to fame.

As long as you love whatever you are partaking in you will be the best at it. Jake’s love for writing is profound as it has helped to convey his deepest emotions. It has allowed him to come to terms and accept things in his life. Writing has become a fundamental part of his life as a productive and positive outlet which has in turn aided Jake towards achieving success and those all important future aspirations. Jake loves the fact that his writing can touch the audience as it emotionally connects with those who require emotional support or comfort to know that they are not alone in how they feel. Jake can empathise and sympathise with them.

They ask how far away is the future? In Jake’s eyes, the future is close enough to plan in advance. In five years, Jake optimistically sees himself working on scripts and directing short scripts. In five years time, his ambition is to direct and finish a project of major quantity and quality. Following that, he aims to sell at least one book across the world to greet him with reasonable success to reward all his diligence, helping him to become more recognized for his works in writing.

Personality, Individuality, These two facts separate Jake from the thousands of other writers out there. His individuality and personality transfer into his writing showing how his mind operates. He has the genuine and firm belief that it is “Hard to find someone who thinks or reacts like him”. You could look at anything Jake has written and it’s like it has that touch of Jake resonating from it. That’s the certified stamp of Mr Enigma.

Furthermore, Jake has set himself goals to achieve for the year 2013. He has already met some of these targets already. His previous goals were to publish books and direct short works in relation to media. The biggest goal he has achieved to date is his connection and bond with a range people of people as he believes love is a special feeling. He is proud to give back that love equally. Jake’s main goals for 2013 are: For his books and media works within the industry to become more recognised. He would like to be recognised for his literary skills around the world. When these 4 goals are thankfully achieved, Jake will set new goals which he hopes to achieve in the not too far distant future.

Looking back at the year of 2012, “Rollercoaster” his reply was to my question “How was 2012 to you? The many highs and frequent lows and the invaluable experiences he went through that have matured and changed Jake’s focus for the best. Hard times which has been a blessing and he is hugely grateful for. All these factors have moulded him into a stronger and better individual overall. 2012 was the best year in Jake’s very own eyes in terms of improving his craft and showing his vibrant personality. Jake and I both hope that his mentality and ethics he possesses carries on into 2013.

Penultimately all work and no play makes Jake a dull boy. He knows where to draw the fine line between work and play. Outside college, Jake is taking part in activities keeping the fun element to his life alive. He practices his writing, rapping, sound recording and editing. At college and outside college, he is an activist with the camera for the wrestling company FPW which means Future Pro Wrestling.

Jake is also involved in the Volunteer Police Cadets throughout the year. Helping the communities within Wandsworth and learning the various aspects of the law. Jake was previously part of media courses and writing seminars, and he had a fortunate opportunity to work as a background actor for Film4.

In conclusion, Jake “Mr Enigma” Christian is on the way to becoming a great wordsmith as his gift with words is evident. I believe in just 5-10 years time we will be hearing about him as director of movies, author and script writer. Now that’s what I call a triple threat! The traits of being simply “unique” and “different” will push him in the long haul for the dream of success. Mr Enigma, Keep doing what you’re doing. You will certainly go far with these aspirations and with your positive attitude optimism partnering this; your dreams are certainly achievable.
