Black Friday turns deals to disasters
Yes, it’s Christmas time! The time when you start to feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside, and of course die of coldness on the outside. The real annoying part of winter is that- for me especially, I hate having to put on so many layers that I am no longer able to move freely. I catch frostbite on practically every inch of my body, even in weird places like last week I lost control over my chin? I know, weird. But best of all we all love a good bargain over the festive season.
Today was the first flash sale of the Christmas season, I’m sure we have all heard of it…the famous Black Friday… the way that all the major stores can make up for lost profit over the year.
Black Friday has finally arrived in Britain with a bang this year! For the first time this U.S promotion which is vastly promoted throughout America as the start of Christmas shopping season, is spreading throughout the world.
With promotions slicing prices in half this year many people are set wild trying to grab themselves a great deal before Christmas. Some even gathering over night to get at the front of the crowds. Queues at Wembley’s Asda superstore started at 5am, even though the store did not open until 8 am, within the first hour many of the deals had already been sold out as these people find themselves in intense outbreaks of chaos and violence within the shop.
Police were called to calm crowds as this new craze pops up in stores across Britain. Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow being hit the worst with society overcome by cheap televisions, clothes and kitchen goods. Three arrests were even made at Tesco stores in Manchester due to the sheer amount of violence in certain individuals.
People were left crawling to safety, some even in wheelchairs were not made way for. When a cheap deal lands in the UK the citizens turn to animalistic madness. Some people like a bargain and others live for one! Whether black Friday will be returning again after all its madness so far this year or if it has gone for good, at least we can all say that Christmas holidays are well over due!
