Croydon Cat Killer Case: Man or Myth?

In 2015, speculations, about a cat killer roaming the streets of Croydon, were rife. A man was said to be hunting down innocent, vulnerable cats and mutilating their bodies. This caused widespread fear and trepidation among Croydon’s cat owners.
In recent weeks, the Met Police have stated that the Croydon cat killer does not exist and was purely a 'myth. Autopsies of the cats 'found no trace of human contact and it is believed it had just been foxes. It is assumed that cats were being run over and left on the side of the road, thus leaving them susceptible to violent fox attacks.
However, this has led to an uproar amongst local animal lovers, who claim the met police are lying just to prevent further expenditure on the case. 'I am shocked that the police have regarded this case unimportant. I still believe it's human damage that has been done to these cats and I am appalled at the lack of action being taken to pursue the culprit.' - Holly Anne, local Cattery volunteer.
The mystery of the 'Croydon cat killer' will forever remain unsolved, so say some. Remember people, keep your cats safe – the cat killer may still be at large.
