On Friday 24th of September, the students of the Blenheim High School Sixth Form, mainly Year 13s, set up a coffee morning during their breaktime to raise money for the Macmillan Nurses who help cancer patients through their struggles with the disease.

The Sixth Formers sold coffee and cakes at their morning, at the cafe in the Sixth Form Block. They were led by Alice Edwards, the granddaughter of a cancer patient who was at the needs of the Macmillan Nurses.

The Macmillain Nurses is a credible cause as they relieve the pain of people who suffer from cancer in their own homes. They are the best of volunteers, along with other excellent nurse groups, including Marie Curie nurses.

The group had support from their teachers and the other members of the Blenheim Sixth Form Community. Even if people were not purchasing cakes or coffee, they were also giving out donations to the cause. The event managed to raise £110 that is going towards the nursing charity.
