On 21st October 2010, High Voltage, sponsored by Blast Beat came to Lampton School in hope of finding their new apprentice, from the world of music and singing. It was defiantly a night to remember with over 9 different acts from all around Hounslow including students performing from Lampton School, Cranford and Heston Community College. Young talents all battled through the night to show of their amazing vocal skills to the Blast Beat judges, exterior judges who came to put a young hopeful through to the next round.

With all that energy in the air it was expecting to see a special guest performing. Mumzy Strange, an Asian singer, took the night by a storm and preformed some of his classic hits such as ‘Show Girl’. It took the night into a different atmosphere! The crowd was raving and the speakers were blasting, it bought the night into party mode!

At the end of the night the judges announced their winner to be Petra Luke, an ex student of Lampton, who sang a variety of songs such as Valerie form Amy Winehouse, whose voice was beyond remarkable won the Hounslow contest and was put through to the semi with the chance of winning a record label with Blast Beat.

The night had finally come to an end as the headlining act, Mumzy helped with the raffle, and people started to make their way out. All in all, the night was a huge success and defiantly one to remember for years to come!
