Welsh rockers Kids in Glass Houses are set to wreak havoc in Kingston like, well, kids in glass houses.

The quintet are making a triumphant return to The Peel with an album release show in support of their upcoming fourth album, Peace.

Iain Mahanty, rhythm guitarist says: "It's going to be wicked; we love the Peel. We did a Smart Casual show in Kingston last year and it's always fun to play there."

Peace is the bands follow-up to their 2011 album, In Gold Blood, but this time the band took a more relaxed approach to creating their next masterpiece.

The majority of the writing took place in Iain's house, much to his girlfriend's dismay.

"I don't think she minded all that much really!" jokes Iain.

"Recording was relatively painless, it was actually loads of fun.

"Before, we have written stuff separately and then come together to work it out. Me and [lead singer]Aled had a very definite idea of what we wanted the album to sound like before we started.

"This time we concentrated on making every song as good as it can be and the response so far has been overwhelming.

“We can’t wait for the fans to hear the rest of it."

Their headlining tour kicks off next week in Liverpool and cumulates in Ireland but you can catch the band in Kingston on Sunday, September 29 with Peace being released the following day.

As if that was not enough excitement for one day, the band will also be doing a stripped down acoustic set at Banquet Records before the Peel show.
